Here’s what middle-school kids think about rape, according to a survey of
11-14 year-olds:
51% of boys and 41% of girls believe that a man has a right to force a woman to kiss him if he has “spent a lot of money on her.”
32% of boys and 32% of girls say it’s not improper for a man to rape a woman who has had past sexual experiences.
87% of boys and 79% of girls say rape is okay if a man and woman are married.
47% of all those surveyed say it’s okay for a man to rape a woman he has been dating for more than 6 months.
Doesn’t sound too good, does it? By middle school, American children have already drunk deeply from the patriarchy: they know that men have the right to sexually
possess women, that women can be bought, and that women who aren’t virgins are
fair game for rape.
So perhaps it’s not so surprising what happens when they get to college:
1 in 4 college women report being victims of rape or attempted rape.
1 in 12 college men admit to committing acts that meet the legal definition of rape.
35% of college men indicate some likelihood that they would commit rape if they could be assured of not getting caught.
And it doesn’t stop when they get married…
10% of women are the victims of rape or attempted rape by a husband or intimate partner in their lifetime.
33-46% of husbands who beat their wives also rape them.
… or have children:
About 20% of all rapes are committed against children under the age of 18 by their own family members.
20-40% of women and 10-20% of men report having been sexually victimized as children (this includes sexual abuse other than rape).
And then you go to the top and start all over again.

First off, let's get the formalities out of the way.

Rape is wrong. Period.

Now that we have that over with, why the heck are they asking middle school kids about this? Sixth graders are way too young to be given surveys about rape when their miniscule brains aren't even into issues like this.

And I don't know where that question on kissing comes from, but it's not rape if someone is forced to kiss somebody. Why is that even in that survey.

I'm not going to even bother going over the remaining bits of this since statistics on rape vary so greatly that they're never accurate. Although, the higher they are, the more feminists will use them since women never lie about rape and these types of things are always true.

I was going to inject my personal views on kissing and dating into this, but I've decided not to. Maybe next time.

A small sample, if you will

This is a pretty small sample size so clearly these are not generalizable findings. But I have to question the cultural beliefs that surround these types of findings. I have to question a study that finds women and men are made differently as opposed to how environmental, cultural and social factors have affected these brain patterns(thoughts and actions). Can something learned change brain chemistry?Many feminists and cultural theorists have found that it is cultural and environmental factors that support women in internal thinking, acting, responding and support men in external thinking, acting and responding, etc. So then how valid is this study? How can a study like this be valid without a consideration of surrounding factors?I fear that studies like this just add to archaic ideas of inherent differences between men and women that are biological, as opposed to recognizing the way patriarchy functions to create these differences.

I'm afraid that our dear friends at Feministing just don't seem to get it quite yet. Men and women are different in numerous aspects. For example, men will think things through using their head. Women will generally not do so and instead think with their emotions. Logic is more common among men, rather than women. But women have the amazing ability of connecting through emotions. Men are leaders by nature, whereas women are caring by nature. You can't have one without the other. To say that men and women are wired differently is a true statement, not an archaic one. Unfortunately, feminists don't seem to understand this yet and would prefer naively believing that society makes us out to who we are.

So, really, we don't have a choice, if that's the case.

The Death Penalty Dilemna

Emphasis mine. The death penalty is a thoroughly backward institution. Nothing
is gained by killing criminals — except, of course, feeding human vengeance and bloodlust. It’s more expensive to keep people on death row and execute them than
it is to put them in prison forever. It act as an effective crime deterrent. It’s not fairly or justly applied. Etc etc. And now there’s further evidence that even our“humane” version of state-sanctioned murder — lethal injection — isn’t quite so kind. In fact, it’s so problematic that veterinarians won’t even use it on dogs. The prisoner is paralyzed, and so it looks painless — but only because he’s unable to move. There are absolutes in human rights. One of those, I believe, is that humans have the right to not be killed by the state. The state certainly has the right to punish, but I believe that it loses legitimacy in other areas when it exercises such final punishment. And I think it’s shameful that we continue to impose it.

While I highly doubt that it is more expensive to keep people on death row than in jail (you know, for a lifelong stay), it will only be true because most people on death row die before their executions. If executions happen very quickly after the trial, maybe a year or less, then the cost won't be so high.

The problem with murderers is, aside from the fact that they murder and feel justified doing it, is that they never think they will get the death penalty. If time was severely reduced between trial and execution, murder rates would plummet as nearly everybody who is a convicted murderer would be executed in short order.

True, the state should not have the power to execute its own citizens. That is the only reason why I am against the death penalty, unless the state is completely out of the wielding process. If civilians are in charge of the issuing the death penalty, then the practice should continue.

Baptists In Support of Public Schools

A group of Baptist leaders called on its members Friday to "speak positively
about public education" in response to a conservative movement to pull Baptist children out of public schools.Fifty-six pastors and organizational leaders - some from the conservative Southern Baptist Convention and others from the more moderate Cooperative Baptist Fellowship - signed a letter supporting public schools.
The document was posted Friday on the Web site of the Baptist Center for Ethics, a Nashville group that often criticizes the conservative direction of the Southern Baptist Convention.

So let me get this straight: They support a school system that contains the following:

1. Perverse little paraistes known as the public school teenager
2. Vulgarity
3. Homosexuality, bisexuality, and other evils
4. Wiccan groups, witches, and Satanists
5. Drugs, drugs, and more drugs
6. Rape, murder, suicide
7. STD's, teen pregnancies, and abortion
8. Government propaganda.
9. A mostly liberal point of view which naturally means its BS
10. A system of utter corruption and uselessness
11. Almost violent hatred towards Christians

Really, the entire public school system is just a joke. Public schools are producing wonderful little drug addicted, STD-ridden, liberal idealogy-loving fools, ready to either kill themselves or follow the government. What do the Pastors think that they are gaining from supporting a system that despises them and their teachings?

New York Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez's comment that women "don't belong in the dugout" drew criticism Sunday from San Diego Padres manager Bruce Bochy, who supported the female member of his training staff and said he was surprised her gender even came up. Hernandez made the remark during the second inning of New York's 8-1 victory in San Diego on Saturday night. Mike Piazza homered for the Padres and exchanged a high-five in the dugout with 33-year-old Kelly Calabrese, the Padres' massage therapist. "Who is the girl in the dugout, with the long hair?" Hernandez said. "What's going on here? You have got to be kidding me. Only player personnel in the dugout." Hernandez found out later in the broadcast that Calabrese was with the Padres training staff. "I won't say that women belong in the kitchen,but they don't belong in the dugout," Hernandez said. Hernandez, a former Mets first baseman and "Seinfeld" guest star, then laughed and said: "You know I am only teasing. I love you gals out there -- always have."

Personally, I found this whole thing hillarious. I wonder what the feminists are saying about this?

In a March 9 e-mail to the faculty regarding Savage's suggestion of "The Marketing of Evil" as required freshman reading, Buckley wrote: "… I am not shocked, only deeply saddened – and THREATENED – that such mindless folks are on this great campus. … You have made me fearful and uneasy being a gay man on this campus. I am, in fact, notifying the OSU-M campus, and Ohio State University in general, that I no longer feel safe doing my job. I am being harassed."

Oh dear, he is "offended and threatened" that a Christian librarian suggested several books to a group of freshmen students, one of which was Market of Evil (order it at Amazon), which is a book supposedly on homosexuality and the negative effects it has on society.

So, we have this scumbag, recommending liberal books left and right, complain about being offended when the man didn't even utter anything remotely profane to him. Something is messed up when men are complaining about feeling afraid, to say nothing of homosexuality.

Sadaam Will Be Hanged

The trial of ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and seven former aides resumed before the Iraqi High Tribunal on Sunday. Speaking on Iraqia state-television just before the trial resumed, the court’s chief prosecutor, Jaafar Mussawi, said Saddam would hang immediately without undergoing further trials if found guilty and sentenced to death in the present case. Saddam is on trial for crimes against humanity in connection with the killing of 148 villagers from Dujail,
north of Baghdad, after he escaped an assassination attempt there in 1982. “If the court passes a death sentence on any of the defendants in the Dujail case, the law is clear, the sentence must be carried out within 30 days following the appeal,” Mussawi said. As for other cases (in which they have been charged), the court will only judge live defendants as those executed cannot be tried, he added. Saddam and others have also been charged in connection with other crimes, including the use of poison gas during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq against Iraqi Kurds in Halabja, in the north of the country, and the crushing of a Shia revolt in the south of the country following the 1991 Gulf war. Saddam’s trial, which opened in October, moved Sunday into its 15th hearing with defendants expected to start testifying as to their role in the killing of 148 villagers from the
village of Dujail. At a later stage, the court was due to adjourn for the panel of five judges to consider specific charges against each of the defendants.

This should have been done about a week after they found Sadaam. I first thought he would be given lethal injection, then I realized that it would be the Iraqis dealing the justice, so there would be no "cruel and unusual punishment" speech.

The charge is particularly noteworthy because of U.S. concerns over Iran's nuclear weapons program. U.S. military intelligence sources say the more sophisticated IEDs – or improvised explosive devices – they are seeing in Iraq have been traced to Iran's Revolutionary Guard or Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militia in Lebanon. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld last week accused Iran of sending Revolutionary Guard agents into Iraq to foment violence against U.S. troops and Iraqi government forces.

So there is a connection between Iran and Al-Qaeda. First it was between Iraq and Al-Qaeda, now its between them and Iran. This may be so, but why am I not surprised that evidence would turn-up just after the United States has said that 'military action' could be taken against Iran if it continues with its nuclear program?

You Have A Right To Feel Good About Murder, Remember?

Many abortion organizations, including Planned Parenthood now include a “chaplain” on the payroll whose job it is to help clients overcome their “guilt feelings” for having killed what few now deny is a human child.

Advances in sonogram technology were hailed by the pro-life movement as a great help in the argument for the humanity of the unborn, but this has not necessarily translated into moral comprehension.

Kirsten Moore, spokesman for the Reproductive Health Technologies Project says a focus group showed that women who see the pictures of their unborn child on a sonogram are as ready to kill as they ever were. “Women who are thinking about ending a pregnancy are not asking, ‘Is this a life?’ They know that it is. They are asking, ‘Can I take care of this baby?” Moore told Newsweek.

Despite the best efforts of pro-lifers the result, at least among committed abortion activists, is a further distancing from the fundamental notion that it is wrong to kill. The shift may be one that pro-lifers are not prepared for.

“We’ve really moved onto the next rung of the ladder haven’t we?” Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition commented to LifeSiteNews.com. “What do you do when they admit that they are killing babies and claim the right to feel good about it?”
“Abortion was bound to lead to this and the idea has finally sunk in,” Hughes said. “We have made the case for the humanity of the unborn only to convince the abortionists to claim the right to kill human beings without guilt. It’s a moral shrug. How do you argue with a shrug?

They want to feel good about doing something wrong? Ah, so they are acknowledging their actions, they acknowledge their feelings and their conscience in regards to abortion, yet they still want to go forward with it. It's now all making sense.

I'm just waiting for the day when they acknowledge that it's murder and that it's wrong, but they still want to go forward with it because it's unjustly called 'wrong' and they believe it's a right.

RIAA Does It Again: No More CD Ripping

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has reversed its position on CD ripping and now wants the practice outlawed.

In a filing to the US government concerning digital rights management the RIAA and other copyright industry associations said the fact that CD ripping is widespread does not make it legal.

"Nor does the fact that permission to make a copy in particular circumstances is often or even routinely granted necessarily establish that the copying is a fair use when the copyright owner withholds that authorisation," the filing stated.

"In this regard, the statement attributed to counsel for copyright owners in the MGM v. Grokster case is simply a statement about authorisation, not about fair use."

This is a complete reversal of the RIAA's previous policy. In last year's Supreme Court MGM v. Grokster case a representative of the RIAA described ripping a CD and putting it on an iPod as "perfectly lawful".

"It is no secret that the entertainment 'oligopolists' are not happy about space-shifting and format-shifting," said the Electronic Frontier Foundation in a statement. "But surely ripping your own CDs to your own iPod passes muster. "

Wow, as if they couldn't make themselves even more despised or do more harm to the music industry, they now don't want to allow ripping.

They just don't get it, do they? Maybe when CD profits drop even further, they will come to their senses, although, knowing their infamous record, they will probably just blame it on piracy and try to pass more laws and ban more actions.

Prosecutors Reconfirm His Guilt....Again

Prosecutors at Saddam Hussein's trial presented a document Tuesday they said was signed by the former leader approving the executions of more than 140 Shiites in southern Iraq after an assassination attempt in the 1980s.

After about two hours of hearing documents, the court adjourned until Wednesday.

The document was among several presented by chief prosecutor Jaafar al-Moussawi concerning the killings of Shiites from the town of Dujail in 1982.

A memo from the Revolutionary Court, dated June 14, 1984, announced that 148 suspects had been sentenced to death by hanging and listed their names. The prosecutor said the signature on the memo was that of the court's head, Awad al-Bandar, one of Saddam's co-defendants.

A document dated two days later was a presidential order approving all 148 death sentences. The paper was signed by Saddam, al-Moussawi said, displaying the document with the signature on a screen in the court room.

The sentences were passed after an "imaginary trial," al-Moussawi told the court.

"None of the defendants were brought to court. Their statements were never recorded," he said.

The documents were presented after Saddam's lawyers ended their monthlong boycott of the tribunal.

He should have been shot the moment they found him. This trial is a circus and has gone nowhere, except re-re-reconfirm what everyone already knows: Sadaam is guilty. But let's waste some more money on trying to prove this again since, I guess, everybody deserves a trial, even dictators such as the likes of him.

So much for peace from the Gaza scenario. The West Bank is the next powder-keg of violence on the list of volatile areas to avoid. And to add to the surprise (sarcasm), Palestinians are now beginning an 'intifada' against the Jewish state, Israel.

It's interesting, isn't it? There's scores of millions of Arabs over there, many of their countries are loaded with nuclear weapons, most of them have weapons, and a lot of them are violent. So the question that reigns throughout history is: why can't that annihilate that country? How hard can it be? They don't even need weapons, they could just walk over to the country and take it by sheer numbers.

Revelation gives clearer details on the future attacks on Israel, if anyone's curious. It probably won't be the Arabs leading it, though, since for hundreds of years they are inept in the military operations area, as with the leadership.

I grossly underestimated the forces that surrounded me in my childhood here in East Tennessee in a small town completely dominated by two Southern Baptist churches.
I thought that after I left and moved to live in other areas of the country that I had left behind the misery that the imposition of their rigid lifestyle imposes on everyone in the community.I feel as if I am awakening now to a nightmare in my 50s in which that same emotional and cultural straitjacket that was the burden of my childhood and adolescence is suddenly going to be imposed on the entire country. This is an outrage.Do I hear the drumbeat of fascism closing in? Will our freedoms erode so slowly that there is no real resistance? Is there an echo in the room that originated in Europe in the 30s?I do not believe I am overreacting.The thought of incest and rape victims forced into pregnancies brought on by the rampant violence against women in our country moves me to rage and action. S.D. Plans To Sign Anti-Abortion Bill

Gov. Mike Rounds said he is inclined to sign a bill that would ban nearly all abortions in South Dakota, making it a crime for doctors to perform an abortion unless it was necessary to save the woman's life.
The ban, including in cases of rape or incest, was approved Friday by South Dakota lawmakers, setting up a deliberate frontal assault on Roe v. Wade at a time when some activists see the U.S. Supreme Court as more willing than ever to overturn the 33-year-old decision.
Planned Parenthood, which operates the only clinic in the state that provides abortions, vowed to sue. But even before the bill has a signature, money to defend it poured in. Lawmakers were told during the debate that an anonymous donor pledged $1 million to defend the ban, and the Legislature was setting up a special account to accept donations.
"We've had people stopping in our office trying to drop off checks to promote the defense of this legislation already," Rounds said.
Many opponents and supporters of abortion rights believe the U.S. Supreme Court is more likely to overturn its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion now that conservatives John Roberts and Samuel Alito are on the bench. "The Americans always behave like this," one 18-year-old viewer said. "They slaughtered the Red Indians and killed thousands in Vietnam. I was not shocked by the film, I see this on the news every day."

I'm in serious danger of being political incorrect and not caring here but, all of these Arabs need to be shipped back to where they came from. They cheer and howl as movies depicting Americans being stabbed and blown up are being played, and yet they go on murder-sprees all around the world, slaughtering hundreds of Christians, and burning down buildings because of some pathetic cartoon drawn by a nobody in Denmark of all places.

I don't mean to sound callous, but, do these Arabs actually have any moral character, at all, ever? Or are they just tools used by Imans and whoever leads them to cause chaos and deliberate aggravation where they ought not? Most likely they are since they play along so well.

S. Dakota Passes Bill Criminalizing Abortion

The penalty for performing illegal abortions would be a maximum of five years in prison. Supporters say the Woman's Health and Life Protection Act, which passed 47-22, is the result of new research compiled by a legislative task force showing life begins at conception and abortion is harmful to women.
As WorldNetDaily reported, a similar bill passed the state House in 2004 by a 54-14 vote, before its narrow defeat in the Senate, 18-17. The bill actually initially passed the Senate, but Gov. Mike Rounds, known for his pro-life voting record as a member of the South Dakota legislature, issued a "style and form" veto. Rounds sent the bill back with wording changes to make sure existing abortion restrictions were not threatened if the bill were struck down in court. One senator, however, who saw this as overstepping authority, changed his vote, which defeated the bill. But corrections have been made to the bill, said state Rep. Roger Hunt, who believes now is the right time to overturn the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that rescinded all state laws banning abortion. "DNA testing now can establish the unborn child has a separate and distinct personality from the mother," he told KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, S.D. "We know a lot more about post-abortion harm to the mother." The bill now heads to the
state Senate. In 2004, two pro-life groups clashed over the demise of the previous measure. The public-interest Thomas More Law Center, which helped draft the bill, accused National Right to Life of "complicity" with pro-abortion groups for lobbying against it. Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the More Center concluded, "One thing we know for sure, Planned Parenthood and NARAL could not be happier with National Right To Life." In response, National Right to Life called the charge of joining forces with pro-abortion groups "absurd, untrue, andunproductive."
The pro-life group argued the bill was made virtually ineffective through a "health exception," which allowed abortion "if there is a serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman." The More Center insisted, despite the exception, the bill still required doctors to use reasonable medical efforts to preserve the life of the unborn child as well as the mother. Republican state Rep. Elizabeth Kraus, a former medical technologist, said the new bill, HB1215, can be the legal means of stopping abortion, according to the Associated Press. "The state cannot continue to protect the abortion practice, for the right and duty to preserve life cannot coexist with the right to destroy it," Kraus said. The House rejected amendments that would provide exceptions for rape, incest and the health of the mother. But doctors who perform abortions on a woman in danger of dying would not be prosecuted.

School Board Ignores Parents, Starts Schools Month Early

According to the fairly odd Pat Robertson, Europe is right now executing a racial suicide:ROBERTSON: Studies that I have read indicate that having babies is a sign of a faith in the future. You know, unless you believe in the future, you're not going to take the trouble of raising a child, educating a child, doing something. If there is no future, why do it? Well, unless you believe in God, there's really no future. hope, no exit. That kind of philosophy has permeated the intellectual thinking of Europe, and hopefully it doesn't come here. But nevertheless, ladies and gentlemen, Europe is right now in the midst of racial suicide because of the declining birth rate. And they just can't get it together. Why? There's no hope.
This is hilarious. The average European does not read Sartre, and there is no such race as "European". But what Robertson is really talking about is not at all hilarious: it is about the desire to have more white people and fewer people who are Muslims. Fear. Fear is what energizes most wingnuts nowadays.If you study history you will find that the fear of "racial" suicides or its reverse, the explosion in the numbers of some undesirable racial or ethnic or religious group, is common. Teddy Roosevelt asked (white) American women to have at least four children each, because he feared the impact of the then strong immigration from Southern European countries. The wingnuts who worry about the death of the "white race" want white women to have more children and women of color fewer. It is the women who are to blame, by the way, for any lack of more whites. The white women are selfish for not bringing into the world lots and lots of little white babies. But then black and brown women are selfish if they have lots of children, because it shows that they are sucking off the teats of the government if in this country, and because they are contributing to the population explosion if in a developing country. Only white women who have hard-working white husbands should breed, especially educated white women. And they should stay at home with the white babies.The fear of "racial suicide" is especially weird when it is expressed by the evolutionary psychologist faction of the right-wing. For these people believe
that evolution should select for the kinds of people they are (mostly white), and they are furious that this isn't happening through a white population explosion. It is the women's fault, naturally, or probably the fault of the feminists who have somehow stopped evolution from working properly (properly being the idea that there should be lots more white people who are deemed to be the fittest by this group because of their greater "intelligence").

Well, yeah it kind-of is the women's fault. Who else is not having the babies? All of those not-pregnant guys running around?

I may not agree with everything Pat Robertson says, but one thing is certain: Europe is dying. The Muslims are overrunning it. This has nothing to do with racial hate, and last I looked, there is no such race as "Muslims."

America, unlike Europe, is made up of only immigrants. Europe for hundreds and hundreds of years has been made up of it's own races living in their own countries, so they don't have to tolerate nor change their customs because other people don't like them. Europe belongs to the Europeans, not the Muslims. The Muslims have 5 million square miles of land to live on, they don't need any more land (note: America has 3.5 million square miles).

So, when Muslims are having six children each and Europeans are having one, something is wrong here. Either those guys out there are not getting pregnant enough or those women are like: "it's my body, not yours. I'll do with it what I want, when I want. If I decide it's time for a child, its time. So back off." Alright, fine by me. Go wallow in the mud of your dying country. I guess that's all you've ever wanted, right?

Last night in the Senate she said, "An estimated one in three women have had an abortion, and I am one of them." Sen. "Women are fully human," she said. "It is galling listening to the men, and it is mostly men, who have such contempt for women who terminate unwanted pregnancies, who have neither the compassion nor the understanding of the huge and, for many, daunting task of taking an embryo the size of a grain of rice to adulthood." ..."There are plenty of blokes around this place who don't understand why women would do this.There are complex reasons why women need to make this decision I wanted to send a message to all those women to say I'm one of them."

They must think we are utterly braindead. How truly stupid do they perceive men to be? No duh women are human. We are not doubting what they are, just saying that "Look, you don't have the so-called right to an abortion. You never have, and it's not going to magically appear right before you."

It is absolutely galling to me to hear women, and its mostly women who seem to be so hell-bent on clinging to their beloved right to an abortion. Perhaps that is their only true source of happiness: keeping abortion legal.

The trouble erupted late on Tuesday when copies of the Muslim holy book were found lying in a drain in the Bhatta chowk area on the fringes of the sprawling city.

What a bunch of scumbags. The slightest thing throws them into a blind rage against a faceless blasphemer. They must kill, maim, destroy, burn everything in the name of Allah! Kill the infidels is their slogan. I don't see any peace in that, do you?

I'm not for desecrating one's religion or artifacts, but when a group of people are thrown into riots because of this and completely ignore the Christians being martyred, I have a hard time respecting them and not wanting them all beaten to a bloody pulp.

If a group of people are so willing to kill for something like this, then what happens when Muslims are hanged because of violence? It's as if someone is egging them on into this, making them more and more violent. A hypocrisy such as their own is hardly to be rivaled by anyone in this day and age.

I'm just waiting for the one final thing that will throw them into jihad. They obviously want to fight; they'll lose, but then lets give them what they want.

Iran is a threat, in a sense, mostly because it borders the Persian Gulf where the oil flows from out of the Middle East. If a conflict developes because of Iran, the Gulf will be quarantined and nothing will be able to flow from that, thus crippling our oil imports.

So, I'm not worried about Iran with nuclear weapons, because a) Israel has hundreds, b) the U.S. has thousands, and c) Iran will a fraction of that. While the nukes may cause damage, they won't destroy a country; Israel, on the other hand, can and will attack Iran if it is threatened.

These are interesting times, for all of us.

As If They Couldn't Make Boys More Aggressive: No Tag On Playground

Normally I wouldn't post something like this on this blog, but the air is right for it. It seems that the legal system has done one thing it was aiming to do all along: make boys even more miserable in school while pushing for a "calmer, more gentler enviroment."

I say "Screw that." When I was in elementary school, we played tag on concrete. The teachers didn't care, neither did the parents. If you fell, you got up. If you got hurt, you shook it off. You didn't say to a lawyer, "Help, my kid tripped while playing tag."

Dodge ball is out. Too aggressive.
Ropes courses are out. Too much liability.
And don't even think about proposing a gun club at your child's school these days.
But when the principal of Spokane's Washington's Adams Elementary School banned the playing of tag by students on the playground, at least one 3rd-grader had enough. Kubby Boyd organized a petition and got his friends to sign it. He hopes it will change Principal Mary Weber's mind. Weber says the games were just getting too rough. Several other schools in the same district say they have banned the hazardous game of tag, too. Those that still allow it have strict rules such as no pushing or shoving and playing only on soft, grassy surfaces.

Oh no! Dodge ball! You might get hit! That's the point. Its the wussy-parents out there that think the legal system is the answer for every little manner of imperfection that intercedes in their child's life. The problem with boys today is: they have too much unused energy in schools and the schools think "neutering" them by proposing less aggressive sports is the answer. I laugh. I cry.

This whole thing is simply ridiculous. Both the teachers and the parents need to be slapped if they think that their kids are entitled to a wound-less school career.

"I went with 30 of my close friends, and we walked away having these amazing spiritual conversations together." Which is exactly what both Saints were trying to do in that Amazon jungle.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel any significant blow to my conscience if I walked into that movie, saw the film, and liked it, especially if it was about a martyred Christian missionary. Regardless of the fact that this man is gay, if the man in the movie is not portrayed as gay, then the film should be alright, correct?

If people feel it morally compromising, then they shouldn't go see the movie, but in my opinion, if the movie doesn't alter the facts or changes what was happening, then the movie is good. Some of the people I work with at my Christian youth group said that the movie was awesome, knowing full-well that the main character (in reality) is gay. Moral failures? No.

But that's my two cents. Perhaps I'll go see the movie soon once I learn more about it.

Great. Really great. Not only do they offer no way to help these people, but they are encouraging it. That's just dandy. Maybe for those who are intent on killing themselves, perhaps we should offer clinics for that to so that, if they fail, they won't have to suffer.

You know, there's a delicious irony in all this. I'm sure that you have heard of the riots that were sparked over the Danish political cartooon, the one that offended all of those dainty little Muslims? Oh no! Embassies burning, flags torched, riots in the streets. The humanity. Glorious, isn't it?

I don't know about you, but some things just piss me off. This is more of a (see above) delicious irony that both irritates me and makes me laugh. I guess I'm just a cynical individual, but the fact that these Muslims are in the streets burning things and people left and right over some retarded cartoons is quite despicable, not to mention hypocritical.

Here's something: Does anyone remember about all of those Christians they have killed? Christianity is outlawed in many Muslims countries. Christians killed up and down the highways and they have the gall to flip out over an *gasp* offensive cartoon? Where do they get this kind attitude wedged in their minds that they can riot over a piece of paper, but they revel in the blood and deaths of their enemies and Christians?

I know this is not the attitude of a lot of Muslims, so to those who are discusted by the riots, I applaud you. I'm not for making fun of anyone's religion, but to think that allowing these Muslims to riot like this and think its justified is one of the dumbest things said when thousands of Christians have been slaughtered brutally over the years. When it comes to mockery of religion, I'm for those who are mocked, not for those who riot and kill because of the mockery.

It was reported yesterday that the Bush administration is rejecting consultative status of the United Nations to two LGBT organizations. In response, 39 organizations have written a letter to Condoleeza Rice, requesting an explanation for the decision.

Last year, the International Lesbian and Gay Association and the Danish gay rights group Landsforeningen for Bøsser og Lesbiske (LBL) applied for consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. This status allows NGOs worldwide can participate in discussions among member states at the UN. There are already 3,000 groups who have this status. While organizations applying for consultative status are normally allowed to state their cases to the NGO committee, Bush and the other opposing nations moved to dismiss the groups’ application without a hearing. Among the opposing was Cameroon, China, Cuba, Iran, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Senegal, Sudan, and Zimbabwe. Matt Forman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, had this to say:
It is an absolute outrage that the United States has chosen to align itself with oppressive governments – all in an effort to smother the voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people around the world...It is deeply disturbing that the self-proclaimed ‘leader of the free world' will ally with bigots at the drop of a hat to advance the right wing's anti-gay agenda."
And he wasn’t a bigot to begin with? Sigh. The heinousness of the anti-queer agenda in this world never ceases to amaze me.

Two things feminists need to do once their regime has been crippled: 1) rethink their lives and 2)get a dictionary.

The term "homophobia" means "fear of gays" not "hatred of gays." But, lets have to some fun here. If -phobia can be attached to anything to which a person does not agree with, nor accept, then I'm kleptophobic (fear of thieves). I don't agree with them, nor associate myself with them, but that doesn't matter. My own bigotry of a particular "lifestyle" has blinded me. There's something else that needs to be said: phobia is generalized as an illness. So if I'm homophobic, I'm ill. And you're mocking my illness. So who is more intolerant, hateful, and bigotted now? Silence.

It is, of course, typical for pro-gays to call rightwingers anti-gay merely because they don't agree with them. I myself would not want homosexuals representing our country, nor in positions of political power to change that. But I also don't want corrupt officials who support homosexual activity or spew hatred over gays. So I guess we'll just have to restart the government then, won't we?

The heinousness of the pro-gay agenda never fails to amuse me. Disagreeing equates to "intolerant." Whatever floats their boat, I guess; however off-axis it may be.

Life Begins At Conception, Says Indiana; Ann Disagrees

Here's a hint: It starts with "con" and ends with "ception." (And, sadly, it's not "contraception.")

Indiana is considering legislation that would require abortion providers to tell women that life begins at conception. Even though the state already has mandatory pre-abortion counseling (and a slew of other abortion restrictions), a new law would require women seeking abortions to be informed in writing "that human life begins when a human ovum is fertilized by a human sperm."

Huh? Haven't they heard that South Dakota (surprise, surprise) aready tried this? A federal judge prevented the law from taking effect. Under the Indiana law, doctors would also have to notify women that the fetus may feel pain during an abortion and an anesthetic, which may or may not be paid for by insurance, could be used on the fetus if the woman is at least 20 weeks along.

So, what subjective statement will the state of Indiana attempt to legislate next? "Adam and Eve - not Adam and Steve," "Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder," or maybe just "Jesus died for your sins."

I'm guessing the main problem here is that Ann thinks that woman might feel a pang of regret or guilt about getting an abortion. My question is: if the child is not alive, then why is someone feeling guilty at all? You don't feel guilty about throwing away a trash bag, since it's not alive, so why is guilt even associated with abortion? I guess its just the government's fault for the guilt, "traumatizing young, battered women into feeling guilty for no reason," would be the usual banter that would ensue.

Jesus died for your sins would not be a new line, but perhaps "May Mother Earth bless you" would be preferable, right? Whatever.

How anyone could compare a cow to a human is beyond me. The Syndicate feels no regret over the deaths of cows to make cheeseburgers; animals have their place, humans have theirs. But, lets just assume that God doesn't exist and we live in the wonderful world of "No-Morals."

In "No-Morals" unborn children do not matter. They are considered accidents more than human beings. They are slaughtered and dumped in trash bins merely because the women screwed around to much and got pregnant. A cow, on the other hand, gets better treatment, doesn't get killed ruthlessly but instead gets to live unchecked on overpopulated farms because somebody sees a cheeseburge and feels bad.

That's the Feminist-version of "No-Morals." Here's the realworld version:

If there are no morals, it doesn't matter what I believe, since no body has any intrinsic value or worth. Therefore, if somebody wants to murder unchecked then so be it. "Might makes rights." If someone disagrees, its my AK-47 vs. their handgun. I'm stronger, therefore, I decide the morals. Cows, humans, whatever, all are free-game. Oh wait, so this doesn't sound tasteful? Gee, I wonder why.

Some people just never make the connection. Given the choice, it seems logical to assume that feminists would rather want a cow to be alive rather than see a woman be put through the *gasp* undeserved agony of childbirth (note the sarcasm on the last part).

I'm not condoning cruelty to animals, but when animals are treated better than humans, somehow deserve life more, is when it's gone too far.

A judge has sentenced a 60-year-old Lunenburg County man to a year of house arrest for molesting a six-year-old girl who called him Grampy. "Clearly we’re here to follow the law and this would be an appropriate place for a conditional sentence," said defence lawyer Barry Whynot. During his house arrest and probation, Mr. Hirtle must have no contact with the victim; stay away from schoolyards, public swimming pools and other places young people congregate; seek substance abuse and psychiatric counselling; and have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 15.Outside court, Crown attorney Paul Scovil said the sentence means Mr. Hirtle will receive treatment he probably wouldn’t get behind bars."As there was no physical harm to the child, even though I’m sure that there was trauma, in that sense, I don’t think I would have gotten over a two-year period if I’d asked for it," Mr. Scovil said. "I wouldn’t get a federal sentence. So if we’re under the two-year period, he would unlikely be getting any treatment in a provincial institution.

At what point does the government lose its God-given ability to personally dispense justice? How many people does the justice system have to harm before people are fed-up and began bringing justice themselves? If I were that girl's parents, the moment I caught him in the act, he would have been dead. There's no excuse for giving a rapist zero-jail time, even if he "says he's genuinely remorseful."

If the king fails to dispense justice, then the people will seek it on their own. To excuse a crime like this is to personally crucify Justice and say, "Go to Hell."

Is the only way these teachers can actually have sex is by screwing around with kids who they know will give in? Most of them are in their late thirties, frequently unmarried, and generally average looking. It seems that the kind of power they want, they know they can't get if they are married, so they resort to sex-with-teens, teens who are still probably stronger than them, to get the kind of power they want. Vox put it correctly when he said:

Staying The Hand of "Justice": 11-year Old Allowed To Live, For Now

girl beaten into a coma, saying her condition had changed, just two days after a
court cleared the way for her to be allowed to die.
Haleigh's death could
lead to murder charges against her stepfather, Jason Strickland, 31, an auto
mechanic accused of battering her but who had fought to keep her on life
support.
Massachusetts state officials said doctors would run more tests on
Haleigh Poutre after taking her off a ventilator this week -- a dramatic change
for a girl whose brain was found partly sheared when she was hospitalized on
September 11.
The Supreme Judicial Court, the state's top court, decided on
Tuesday that her breathing machines and feeding tubes could be
disconnected.
Denise Monteiro, a spokeswoman for the Department of Social
Services, said Haleigh had begun to breath on her own after surgeons inserted a
tracheostomy tube in her larynx this week.
"However she does not have any
capabilities to swallow or to suck or anything like that, so she is still 100
percent dependent on us," she said.
"There is some responsiveness and we
don't know if it is reflex or if it is more than that, so that's why she's going
through a battery of tests," she added.

Apparently, life is no longer sacred, where people, when beaten into comas, are allowed to live until they either die from natural causes or they regain consciousness. The Terri Shiavo case was similar where a woman, beaten into a coma, was taken on and off life-support three separate times, but the last time was the final time, as she died afterwards.

The Sanctity of Life is being burned as we speak. Remember the Syndicate's first article, the one about Peter Singer? Same principle: murdering the helpless.

Italy: Going To Hell In A Handbasket

Two protest marches took place this weekend in Italy, one in Milan where fifty thousand women were marching to keep the current Italian abortion laws intact, and one in Rome where people were marching for the legalization of of same-sex civil unions. The opposition (the Italian wingnuts if you will) was not happy:
"These demonstrators are really nauseating," Reforms Minister Roberto Calderoli, a member of the right-wing Northern League, was quoted as saying by the Italian news agency ANSA. "Family is a serious thing, based on love between a man and a
woman."Culture Minister Rocco Buttiglione, who is close to the Vatican, told
reporters that people's energy should be spent on pro-family efforts like finding jobs and housing."These are the political problems you should put the spotlight on, because without children, Italy dies," Buttiglione said.
Right-o. Let's just force women to have more children. Let's not ask them why they have so few. Let's not learn that Italy has changed and most women now must hold a paid job but that most Italian men have not changed. They still largely don't lift a finger at home. And mothers get mommytracked in no time at all. How many children would you have if it meant not just a double work shift but a triple one, and maybe even a lower salary?This is one of the topics that truly pushes my buttons: the idea that women either don't have "enough" children (in Italy) or "too many" (in India), and that they will be made to do the right thing for the society. Never mind what the women themselves think. They don't count, except as instruments for bearing children, preferably sons.

I agree. We should force women to have more children, since that's what the government is doing already, right? Examples? Not being able to murder your own child would be such a terrible blow to "Choice."

One thing the Echidne of the Snakes fails to comprehend is that the average number of children being born to each Italian woman is one child. The fact that their population is being cut in half every generation, apparently, means nothing to you, right?

So here it is: Women DO NOT have enough children in Italy to keep their country out of the gutters. The country is becoming overrun with Muslims who are angry, poor, and squirting out kids faster than any of the Italians. But, leave it to the Enlightened Feminists of Italy to know what is best for their country.

Feminists: "Screw Italy, Italian men, and the patriarchial system. We have rights that need to be addressed. Whether our country has enough children is none of your concern, as you are simply men who have deprived strong women their rights for generations."

Oh yes, your beloved rights to abortions has served you so well!

So, frankly, feminists it is your pious nature that demands its own destruction. You ignore the obvious to make room for the selfish. You demand abortion on demand without any responsibility, while expecting men to carry you around forever. While you sit back in your lovely abortion clinics, your country is being populated by the Muslims who don't support abortion and are flourishing where you once tread. Ultimately your regime will end, but that will happen when either the Americans save your sorry hides or when the Muslims finally make Europe into their own land.

I especially love the last part of her statement, the part where she says "fragile red state egos." Defending The Oldest Death Row Inmate

California executed its oldest death row inmate early Tuesday, minutes after his 76th birthday, despite arguments that putting to death an elderly, blind and wheelchair-bound man was cruel and unusual punishment. Clarence Ray Allen was pronounced dead at 12:38 a.m. at San Quentin State Prison. He became the second-oldest inmate put to death nationally since the Supreme Court allowed capital punishment to resume in 1976. Allen, who was blind and mostly deaf, suffered from diabetes and had a nearly fatal heart attack in September only to be revived and returned to death row, was assisted into the death chamber by four large correctional officers and lifted out of his wheelchair. His lawyers had raised two claims never before endorsed by the high court: that executing a frail old man would violate the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishment, and that the 23 years he spent on death row were unconstitutionally cruel as well.

I fail to see how executing a murderer who note killed outside of prison, but arranged three more from inside is cruel and unusual punishment. The man may have been old, but as far as I'm concerned, justice was served. The claim of him being old is not an excuse. The claim that he is frail is not an excuse, as the executors were able to perform the deed.

Isn't it interesting how some people just love to defend the murderers. It was the same with Tookie Williams. A violent murderer was executed, but everyone defended him because they claimed that he was repentent and turned from his life; there was no evidence of this. This guy didn't apologize for his crimes, as he is trying to find a way out of the sentence.

But, this is society and we can never punish the guilty, only the innocent.

Depression and Abortion: What's the Deal Here?

I've seen many articles on news sites about how women who abortions are vastly more likely to experience depression and other mental disorders than those who don't; far more likely. This always struck me as odd, and partly for one reason: if the unborn baby is not alive, is just merely a mass of non-living tissue, then what is to feel depressed about? Is it traumatizing experiencing an abortion? If it was, 5,000 babies wouldn't die everyday, so it's not extremely physically painful. The killer is the emotional problems.

Many women who have abortions actually do not believe that they are not non-living masses of tissue, but human beings. The guilt is that they know what they are doing is wrong, and not consistent with their values. Of course, feminists would say that they have nothing to feel guilt about, since the child is not alive anyway.

Jill of Feministe produced this gem of cluelessness:

Over a two-day period at the center, the message to women was consistent: abortion was psychologically and physically damaging, and God would help provide for their children, however difficult the women’s straits, and in the short term, the center would supply some necessities.

In other words, they really lie. And they conveniently omit the fact that pregnancy isn’t exactly a walk in the part (and is statistically much more dangerous than abortion, and for many women has significant psychological effects). “You might be depressed after giving birth” isn’t a great argument against childbirth as a practice — and it’s certainly not a very good one against abortion, either. It’s even worse when these groups argue that you will be depressed after abortion — can you imagine a post-partum depression awareness group telling pregnant women
that, if they do go through with their pregnancy, they will absolutely be depressed to the point of suicide and will likely have severe physical complications that might kill them? There would be outrage, because it’s not acceptable to lie to people about the basic facts of certain medical procedures. And yet somehow, these folks justify it. And telling women that “we’ll help you for a while and then God will provide” is ridiculous. Sorry, but God doesn’t always provide. Shit happens, and things fall apart. Giving pregnant women some maternity clothes and a pack of diapers doesn’t solve their problems. Of course, in most cases, neither does abortion — but pro-choice groups never claim that abortion is a cure-all the way that anti-choice groups push childbirth and parenting as if it was an easy and magical adventure for everyone who goes through it.

Wow. Leave it to Feministe to act stupid on-demand. If I were her, I'd probably crawl into a corner and rethink my life.

Is abortion such a precious item that denying the fact that women are vastly more likely to get depression afterwards, that you would sacrifice the mental health of those whom you claim to care about? It's amazing that for some people to be happy, abortion has to remain this guiltless, painless, completely legal procedure that ensures your "right" to work is kept in place.

Sorry, feministe, but God always provides. I've never known someone who put their trust in God and is lying on the streets, starving their heart out, on the verge of death. He may not provide in the form one desires, but the food, water, and shelter will be there if one merely decides to trust Him in that He will do it. Churches can only help so many people for so long before they say, "Look, we've helped you out this far. We're not going to baby you forever."

And about birth and parenting: most people actually like parenting, that is to say, most people who were born with any a) conscience and b) desire to love their children. Leave it to the left to act like traitors and join sides with the government. What do the liberals think they are gaining by siding with a secular government that cares nothing for God's Ways? Reading that, I couldn't help thinking that large parts of fundamentalist America would today find that simple statement unacceptably radical. Would it appear in an official federal publication today? I doubt it.

People who dislike feminism are not saying that women can't work, shouldn't work or are not capable of working. It's about: should women work when they have a family to take care? Granted, it's their choice to make, but ultimately, the question is: what is more important, your job or your family? If you consider that somehow an afront to your little belief that women shouldn't be the ones to stay home, bummer. It's just the way it is. Women can hold jobs, work and make tedious powerpoint presentations all they want, people will always find replacements for those jobs, though. It's a lot harder to find a wife, a lot harder. And the job is never replaceable.

I hate the arguments about submission and marriages. It seems that this is an area where women are vastly concerned it. Most men would not abuse their wives when married, nor force them to do anything. They do, however, desire respect (as well as love). The issue of equal command is something that I hear about all the time, whether on Christian forums or on the God-forsaken internet. And of course the pitiful feminists are in uproars when it comes to women submitting in marriage.

People seem to think that submission means becoming a doormat. Its not about that. Its about showing respect towards the husband the same way people show respect towards God. It's not slavery, or servitude, or any other beaten-to-death term that has been thrown-around like an old throw pillow.

"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. The issue drew unwanted attention to Washington state last year, when authorities revealed that a man died of a perforated colon after having sex with a horse on a farm in rural King County.
Sheriff's officers believed they had no options for criminal charges for the man's companions because bestiality was not explicitly covered under the state's animal cruelty law. Prosecutors did eventually get one conviction for trespassing.
Animal advocates responded with a push to outlaw bestiality, and Sen. Pam Roach, R-Auburn, vowed to sponsor the measure. Her bill began its legislative journey Thursday, heading to the Senate Judiciary Committee for review. "It's something from which (animals) need to be protected," the veteran lawmaker said Thursday. "It was shocking to a lot of people that this kind of thing went on." Bestiality is explicitly illegal in parts of the country, but Washington is one of about 20 states that do not address the issue in lawbooks, animal activists said. That should change
this year, said Susan Michaels, co-founder of the animal welfare group Pasado's Safe Haven. "Our first response was, 'I can't believe this isn't already illegal,'" Michaels said. "The next response was, 'Who could possibly be against this?'"

The term repulsive doesn't even come close to describing a situation like this. Bestiality is quite possibly one of the most perverted acts humans can commit. They go so far beyond the natural that its hard to believe that people could act like animals. But, to make it more perverse, more and more people are performing the act after the announcement of this man's death. At first I figured the guy was trampled to death from the horse; then I realized it was a problem with his colon.

Many people find it so abhorrent that they refuse to even touch the bill. The bill would make videotaping bestiality, and engaging in the act illegal with a five year prison sentence and a fine of up to $10,000.

I wonder where we will be in ten years. Perhaps then, people will view bestiality as "something you are born into," just like with homosexuality. Nobody in the fifties or sixties thought homosexuality would ever be accepted publicly. It was frowned-upon, which it should be. Now, nobody blinks when they see it. Maybe that is the fate of bestiality.

It's an Abomination cuz there's a gay man and a lesbian on the show. The Book of Daniel "features one of primetime's few openly gay male characters, has a lesbian supporting character and is written by a gay screenwriter."The American Family Association and Focus on the Family have orchestrated letter-writing campaigns in their ever vigilant campaign to stamp out every voice and every view that is not their own. And they don't care who they hurt. Rather than letting us watch the show and rot in their mythical hell, they've convinced the local yokels at Channel 4 to join them in the campaign to promote Old-Time religious ignorance and bigotry.Gawd help us. Iran threatened on Friday to block inspections of its nuclear sites if confronted by the U.N. Security Council over its atomic activities. The hard-line president reaffirmed his country's intention to produce nuclear energy. The move came a day after France, Britain and Germany - backed by the United States - said that nuclear talks with Iran had reached a dead end after more than two years of acrimonious negotiations and the issue should be referred to the Security Council. With the support of Russia and China uncertain, however, they refrained from calling on the 15-nation council to impose sanctions and said they remained open to more talks.
British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corp., said Friday: "Obviously if Iran failed to comply, the Security Council would then consider sanctions."

There is only one way to end this conflict: a global war. If Iran wants to use their weapons against Israel, then let them try. Iran will get pummelled by Israel. Israel is more than capable of handling the situation on their own, and with the support of Russia and China in the air, Iran may not have the "defiance of superpowers" attitude it once had, especially if they decide to pull away from Iran.

"If they have any discussion in the stage of nuclear fuel production, we are prepared to continue our talks with the three European countries," he said. Mottaki, however, insisted that Iran won't give up its right under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty to possess the whole nuclear fuel cycle - from extracting uranium ore to enriching it. "No one can take this right from the Iranian nation. Regaining this right doesn't require permission from any country," the television quoted him as saying. Europe's negotiations with Iran has been aimed at getting Iran to permanently abandon uranium enrichment but Iran says it won't give up its right under the treaty to enrich uranium and produce nuclear fuel. Russia renewed its call for Iran to resume its moratorium on nuclear activities and cooperation with the IAEA.

Iran won't give up its nuclear regime, especially with so much glorious power at stake. Imposing sanctions, making threats won't sway their plans, being the arrogant fools that they are, they will continue this "wishing rather that the world remain divided." (Quote from the Animatrix)

The New York Times had an article on life coaching the other day, an apparent growing trend amongst young women. The article begins:

To figure out what you want to do with your life, you could:

A) Study hard in school, get internships in the field that interests you, work diligently and learn as much as possible at your first real job.

B) Hire a life coach.

A lot of women in their 20's are opting for B
For $200 to $500 a month, the lucky ladies will receive information and advice via telephone concerning, well, their lives. Jane magazine featured a big article on it in this months issue. The coaches not only help you with school and work, but with your personal life as well. Am I just being nitpicky, or does this "trend" seem to perpetuate the idea that women are helpless and incapable of running their own lives?

No, the women perpetuate the idea that they are incapable of running their own lives, not the stupid male oppressors who put forth this survey. They can't even act incompetent out of their own free will; so much for freedom, right? This is not to say that all young ladies today are like this, but a large portion of them have demonstrated this (not able to run their lives) to be true.

So we can look forward to an America where more young woman scream into their pillows, fearful of an abusive parent finding out about an unwanted pregnancy she can no longer get help ending. More and more women will cry in their bathrooms, quietly so as not to upset their children, as they look down at a positive pregnancy test knowing that they can't afford another mouth to feed, horrified that there is no way out. More husbands will cry by their wife's bedside as high-risk pregnancies go bad, left to watch helplessly as she suffers, no trained doctors available to save her with a now-illegal lifesaving procedure. Hell, that America already exists in far too many states, but it can and will get worse under this new court, as this lying, Bork-worshipping conservative activist joins his buddies Scalia, Roberts and Thomas on the bench.

What else can we look forward to? More people screaming as their mouths fill with flood waters, as their lungs fill with noxious gases and their children's cries are silenced by asthmatic hacking, as more and more enviromental laws, workplace safety laws and public health systems are gutted by a rapacious corporate culture and their Republican shocktroops. These citizens will find less and less recourse from the courts as the Supreme Court will be packed now with corporate friendly ladder climbing ambitious assholes who've made it painfully clear they were willing to say anything, join any hate group to advance either their careers or their own bigotries. It's hard to tell which, since they are utterly unable as a group to speak honestly and
forthrightly about what they do believe. Monsters cloaking themselves in Hallmark platitudes.

Ridiculous doesn't even begin to cover what she just said. While I respect her right to say it, I also respect her right to receive criticism. As such, I will say that America will not become a moral hell-hole merely because Alito is elected. Roe v. Wade will never! be overturned. It has become to much a part of our culture. But lets just say it was. I highly doubt that there will be more pregnancies. While abusive situations are tragedies, it is more likely that the more scarce abortion becomes the less people will screw around. They know that if they get pregnant, they won't be able to find a safe enough place to "carry out the deed." No doubt people will still act stupid, but that is there choice to make and I'm sorry that they will.

Another thing to consider: when a woman is on an operating table and its either her or the baby, they won't force her to die for the child, they will let her make her own choice. Its a situation where either decision leads to loss and suffering, but that wouldn't be considered abortion (it would be like seeing two friends hanging over the edge of a cliff, you can't save them both so you choose one while the other perishes). Its a terrible situation to be put through, but if you're pro-life and you choose to save your wife, that doesn't make you a hypocrite.

And yes, the government is already corrupt enough as it is. The Republicans are no worse, nor better than the Democrats. The party that claims to be Christian-friendly, what has it done to help Christians? Can you name any significant bill that was passed that once helped Christians?

And while MediaGirl is an expert at paranoia, insanity, and drama, she has one thing correct: politicians cannot speak honestly about their beliefs or stances. I'd rather listen to an honest politician who is a Democrat and unpopular, rather than a popular one who is from the Republican party. Don't waste my time by spouting out phony propositions, bills, and promises that won't be kept, or are cared about. Abortion is one thing I'd like to see go away, but nobody really believes that Roe v. Wade will be overturned, only the embittered feminist who sees herself as a victim of the stupid males oppression.

We’re looking at a return of sodomy laws, the loss of access to birth control as well as abortion, prison sentences for normal adult sexuality, complete loss of privacy, and strip searches without warrants if they succeed. I love reading angry feminist's blogs, especially this one. The sheer ignorance and female paranoia she demonstrates towards Republicans, those that oppose abortion, and Sam Alito is nothing short of insanity. She seems to be hell-bent on demonizing pro-lifers and Mr. Alito to point where virtually anything seen to be against women is going to be made legal. I'm actually suprised at some of the stuff she put. I thought for one that she would probably put less, but make it more detailed. No matter.

To clear matters up:

Our culture is sex-obsessed. When you consider that a huge portion of the internet is pornography, something signals the "Sex-Obsessed" alarm.

What social and sexual progress? If putting sex on the TV is progress, and giving women the ability to murder their unborn child is progress, then what on earth is repression?

Laws against Sodomy and abortion will probably never be put into effect. They've become to much a part of our culture. Get over yourself, feminist.

Prison sentences for normal adult sexual activity? What? Fornication? Adultery? Or Rape? Do you consider any of these a crime, lady?

Complete loss of privacy? I guess she's drawing the "woe-is-me" abortion card again.

Strip searches without warrants is something usually women worry about, though I doubt that something like this will happen. And if it does, chances are, its not going to happen to you, or anybody out in public.

Women are already leaving the work force. All because of their stupid husbands right?! I guess no matter what they say, women can never say "I want to leave my job for my family," because a job is just so more important.

Put under the rule of husbands? Most husbands wouldn't abuse their wives. Believe it or not, during the 1700's, husband and wife actually loved each other very much, but you've probably been under the impression that husbands beat them, right?

Ultimately, this conflict will have to be resolved by yet another war with Iran. The winner is still unclear, depending on when it begins.

The Chronicles of Narnia saved the box office this year, earning a grand total of 531 million dollars worldwide. The money this film has made is enormous, being one of the most popular films in 2005. Another Chronic-movie would rake in just as much, and hopefully, next time, Hollywood and Disney may have the guts to acknowledge that the Narnian books have a Biblical base.

But likely they won't.

Alito Hearings: The Big Issues

1. His view on abortion:
In an application for the job of deputy assistant attorney general written nearly 20 years ago , Alito, then working in the Solicitor General’s office preparing cases for argument for the Supreme Court, said, “I am particularly proud of my contributions in recent cases in which the government has argued in the Supreme Court that racial and ethnic quotas should not allowed and that the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion.”

2. Strip searching a 10 year old girl.
This is one the democrats are trying to use to vilify Alito. They twist this ruling completely out of context in hopes people will think Alito is an extremist that doesn’t care about privacy. The issue before the court was not whether the search was proper but whether police should be faced with possible monetary fines for acting reasonably on the basis of the warrant and affidavit.

3. No Federal Ban on Machine Guns
In a 1996 case called United States v. Rybar, Alito dissented from two of his colleagues who upheld a federal law banning possession of machine guns. Democrats will try to throw this one out, but I doubt it has enough substance to stick very much.

4. Shooting a 15 year old in the back
In this case involving a 15-year old boy who broke into a house at night, the police arrived at the scene and ordered the burglar to halt. When he didn’t, an officer shot him to prevent his escape. Alito argued it was an issue better solved through the legislative branch. Another issue that doesn’t have any substance.

5. The race card
The Washington Post has a good roundup of how the Democrats are ready to go after Alito: This one doesn’t have much sticking power either, due to the fact that their star witness turned out to have no credibility. Besides, most reasonable people are not going to buy into the B.S. that just because he was a member of an organization that a racist was also a member of would make him a racist. If we followed that line of thinking, the entire democratic party would have to condemn itself for former KKK member Byrd.

6. THE BIGGIE! Expect to hear the same questions repeated a thousand times, and hours focused on this particular issue:
DOMESTIC SPYING BY THE BIG BAD BROTHER FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!
In 1984 Alito wrote a memo supporting the position held by the Carter and Reagan administration that former Attorney General John Mitchell should have immunity from lawsuits starting from domestic national security wiretapping that he ordered in 1970. The Supreme Court later rejected this position."

Ultimately, all of these issues mean nothing to the Democrats. The one and only issue that they will be concerned about is keeping Roe v. Wade legal. They believe that if Altio ascends to the court, Roe v. Wade will be overturned, abortion ruled illegal, and women will forced to live through the atrocity of actually having a kid.

Alito's in for tough times.

Talking Elmo: Who Wants To Die?

A mother in Dallas is one of several parents complaining about a new interactive book for toddlers in which Sesame Street character Elmo asks "who wants to die?" according to a Local 6 News report.
Family members said 16-month-old Miranda Boll's new book, "Potty Time With Elmo," was supposed to teach an interactive lesson using voice commands. However, when the book's buttons are pressed, it reportedly says something it is not supposed to -- "who wants to die?"

"It's a sick joke," mother Angela Bolls said. "If it's a joke then it's a bad one, you know? And it's not necessary. It's inappropriate." Bolls said she checked another copy of the same book and found that it says something completely different; "Who wants to try to go potty?" The company that makes the book said it has had several complaints concerning the book, according to the report.

Okay, I laughed. Apparently, according to Diggnation.com, somebody hacked into the Elmo manufacturing plant (or whatever it is) and changed what he was supposed to say to this. I found it hillarious.

Now, I fully expected FeministBlogs.com to comment on this billboard. Lo and behold, I was right. Naturally, it has been classified as a homophobic billboard, though it demonstrates no homophobia other than an opportunity to change.

Our society has been deeply saturated with the evil of homosexuality. Bestiality is next on the list of things to accept so be prepared for it. All Christianity aside, homosexuality is still not natural. You are not "born gay." You are born normal, you just have a different set of demons ruining your life. Everbody struggles with something, but you still have a choice to change. Maybe I'm a thief, but I don't want to be one. Does that mean I have kleptophobia (fear of thieves)? You are not born a thief. Its a choice, but you can make a change in that area.

The world (society) would like to teach us that homosexuality (and since we're deteriorating at an alarming rate, bestiality) is normal and something you are born with. If that's the case then people are born murderers, thieves, rapists, pedophiles, and strippers. There's no changing.

Well, homosexuality doesn't affect anyone other than yourself!

It takes two to tango, buddy. In the quiets of your own room with your own fantasies, thats true. And I'm not saying we should make it illegal to be gay, but we shouldn't condone it as a society or what it teaches (that its okay to be gay).

If homosexuality is something you are born with, then we really don't have freedom to choose. And if that's the case, then its alright to be a thief or strippers. After all, its just something you are born with, the unnatural impulses to partake in the act.

Third quake of the year and we are just over one week into 2006.

ATHENS, Greece -- A powerful earthquake shook Greece on Sunday and was felt as far away as the Middle East and Italy. Minor damage was reported in southern Greece, and authorities on the island of Crete said three people were slightly injured.
No tsunami warnings were issued.

The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the epicenter of the 6.9-magnitude quake was located beneath the seabed about 125 miles south of Athens and 12 miles east of the island of Kithira in the Sea of Crete.

"It was a very powerful quake which shook all of Greece. There have been dozens of aftershocks," institute head Giorgos Stavrakakis said. "The quake occurred deep undersea and that's what saved us."

Stavrakakis said he did not expect any serious aftershocks.

Thus Saith The Feminist: What's Legal Will Soon Be Illegal

Media Girl is apparently irritated a new bill that will make abortion illegal unless it threatens the life of a woman. I guess its easy to be in support of abortion when the unborn are dehumanized and easily killable. Wouldn't you agree?

This is what comes of conservative judicial activism: precedents be damned -- we'll just keep passing illegal laws until we stack the courts with enough sympathizers to make what's illegal legal and make what's legal illegal.

How would you consider the law illegal? At what point does a law become illegal? It goes into the zone of "right" and "wrong", not "legal" and "illegal." The government does not determine what is right and wrong, it merely determines what is legal or illegal. If it is legal, then it either has a law that says it can be done or it doesn't have a law forbidding it. The law against abortion is both legal and right. This cannot, however, be argued from a secular point-of-view. Ignorant feminists, liberals, and drug-snorting, baby-squirting teens would love to see abortion remain legal and argue for it, claiming the right to ones body trumps all other concerns, even the life of an unborn child. How touching.

Abortion is likely to be the hot-issue to be discussed this year. Remember that over 1.5 million unborns will die this year. All in the name of "bodily freedom," "right to choose," and "women's rights."

Of 'The Book of Daniel': Christians Have Had Enough

There have been many insults, lies, and mockeries of Christianity, but finally, TV programs aren't even hiding it anymore. Usually, they would do it discreetly, occassionally sneeking in a brief-bit on the error of something from Scripture or the impossibility of an occurence, or why worship is stupid, in very subtle ways.

Now, as I'm sure you have all heard, NBC is airing the new show "The Book of Daniel," a self-proclaimed acurrate portrayal of a typical American Christian household. The main character, a pastor by the name of Daniel has frequent meetings with Jesus who apparently is trying to be portrayed as a drunken hippy. His son, who is in his early twenties, is gay. The daughter is a lesbian and they are selling drugs. Keep in mind that they are calling this "a normal Christian household."

I don't know which reality they originate from, but drug-dealing "Christian" homosexuals is not what a "typical Christian household" is. In fact its not even a general representation. It's a flat-out mockery of Christianity. And frankly, the Christians have had enough.

The high school students at a nearby school, I am told, contacted the nearest NBC station, showing strong opposition to the airing of the "Book of Daniel." And this occurence was so unusual that the city newspaper wrote an article on it, naturally a liberal-leaning, anti-Christian point-of-view was used. This phenomenon is occuring everywhere.

WSFA-TV promised viewers they would be able to call in and share their response to Friday night's two-hour premiere of the controversial NBC series, "The Book of Daniel." But someone jammed the station's telephone lines.
"Somebody called and talked to our news director and said that he had been contacted by a church in town to participate in an activity to jam our phone lines and that's exactly what happened," said WSFA General Manager Hoyt Andres. "We took maybe half a dozen calls. Actually, they took down our entire phone system, not just the lines for people who were commenting about the show."
The phone jam left the 10 staffers prepared to answer the phone lines idle until WSFA launched its back-up plan -- its Web site.
"We set up a forum on our Web site and asked people to comment there," Andres said.
Between 9:58 p.m. and 10:37 p.m., the Web site received more than 300 e-mails.

Virginia Lott, 31, of Wetumpka watched the show with her husband, Brian, and she said she hopes it is not canceled by NBC or removed from WSFA's schedule.
"I thought it was very funny. I appreciated the humor," she said. "It was very much like what real families go through."

Apparently, Mrs. Lott has never actually seen a real family. Normal families argue over what TV shows they are going to watch, or what food they are going eat for dinner. Normal families do not deal with drug-selling lesbians and gays whose dad gets frequent visits from a hippy-Jesus. There is nothing humorous about the show. And while it should not be a surprise that something like this has actually come on the air, be aware that you don't have to tolerate it. The world will come to hate Christians, openly-mock them, and even murder them. Remember that they hated Christ first and that is the reason they hate Christians.

There is nothing new under the sun, it has merely been put into a different form.

Abstinence: Things the Oppostion Doesn't Want You To Know

The War on Abstinence

"We believe that current federal abstinence-only-until-marriage policy is ethically problematic, as it excludes accurate information about contraception, misinforms by overemphasizing or misstating the risks of contraception, and fails to require the use of scientifically accurate information while promoting approaches of questionable value."
"Abstinence-only programs threaten fundamental human rights to health, information, and life."

Abstinence, in case you've never heard the term, is abstaining from sexual activity until marriage. All across the country, organization of both abstinence and anti-abstinence origin are fighting to keep their programs either alive or defeat them. Keeping abstinence-education in schools while educating unwed individuals has many benefits. However, the ACLU, JAHO, etc fail to understand this, wishing rather that everyone becomes infected with an STD or suffers psychological trauma. Ironic, wouldn't you say?

Below is a list of things you should consider if you want to engage in premarital sex. This is from Heritage.org:

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including incurable viral infections, have reached epidemic proportions. Annually, 3 million teenagers contract STDs; STDs afflict roughly one in four teens who are sexually active.
Early sexual activity has multiple negative consequences for young people. Research shows that young people who become sexually active are not only vulnerable to STDs, but also likely to experience emotional and psychological injuries, subsequent marital difficulties, and involvement in other high-risk behaviors.
Conventional "safe sex" programs (sometimes erroneously called "abstinence plus" programs) place little or no emphasis on encouraging young people to abstain from early sexual activity. Instead, such programs strongly promote condom use and implicitly condone sexual activity among teens. Nearly all such programs contain material and messages that would be alarming and offensive to the overwhelming majority of parents.
Despite claims to the contrary, there are 10 scientific evaluations showing that real abstinence programs can be highly effective in reducing early sexual activity. Moreover, real abstinence education is a fairly young field; thus, the number of evaluations of abstinence programs at present is somewhat limited. In the near future, many additional evaluations that demonstrate the effectiveness of abstinence education will become available.

Despite the overwhelming evidence that "safe sex" is really quite the opposite, government organizations continue to fight abstinence programs with no viable reason why. More and more teens continue to be stupid/ignorantt, drop their pants, and carry out an STD, partly because many public schools refuse to allow abstinence promoters to speak to them.

The Benefits

The benefits of abstinence are far more desirable than a life-sucking STD that should never have developed on the face of the planet. Teens who abstain "have more self-respect and respect towards others, are five times less likely to engage in sexual intercourse (duh), secure that one is not being pursued for sexual reasons, chance to develope more in-depth relationships, Less worries regarding pregnancy, birth control, STD's, emotional betrayal, etc, Peace of mind and joy in the knowledge that you are obedient to God in this area of your life, Greater chance of faithfulness in marriage, and trust in your partner's ability to control him/herself with other people." The emotional as well as physical benefits of abstinence should be obvious enough to even the most simple of readers. A lack of STDs, pregnancies, and emotional problems is the holy grail when engaging in the act, which is why it is generally preferred in marriage. Not only does abstinence honor oneself, but it honors God who said that you are to remain pure until marriage. The temptation to engage in the act is common among all people. However, God will not let you be tempted so that you won't be able to take it.

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

And don't expect the Democrats to come running to our aid ladies. Clearly, they're NOT the party of women's rights and reproductive rights anymore. Nope, they're gettin' cozy with all of these anti-choice/anti-contraception ideologues, because women's rights and reproductive rights are too much of an inconvenience for them. Apparently they no longer regard women and girls to be human beings with rights and liberties-- nope, we're just birthing handmaids to these f*****s. And then we have the SCOTUS nominee's, Samuel Alito, confirmation hearings next week-- oh joy. You can sit back and watch your reproductive rights ride off into the sunset and the beginnings of the Republic of Gilead firmly taking root in this country.

Points to consider:

The Democrats are just as unreliable as the Republicans. However, it appears that the Democrats are beginning to wise-up to the fact that a lot of Americans generally don't favor abortion. This is what makes Republicans so popular, the fact that they don't support abortion. Democrats used to, but now, some are beginning to either a)realize the evil of abortion or b)realize that they get more voters by taking this stance.
Women don't have the right to an abortion. Its not guaranteed anywhere in the constitution. People interpret things the way that they see fit, even if it means allowing something that harmful to exist.
Cursing only makes you look stupid. Get over it.
Samuel Alito will get confirmed, though I doubt that Roe. v. Wade will be overturned. Maybe, if the Supreme Court leans more to the right, RvW will get wiped away, but its really up in the air for now.
Birthing handmaidens? Your word usage is terribly amusing. How does restricting someones desire to murder their unborn child turn them into cattle? I fail to see any connection here.

Researchers at a Missouri university have identified the largest known prime number, officials said Tuesday.

The team at Central Missouri State University, led by associate dean Steven Boone and mathematics professor Curtis Cooper, found it in mid- December after programming 700 computers years ago.

A prime number is a positive number divisible by only itself and 1 _ 2, 3, 5, 7 and so on.

The number that the team found is 9.1 million digits long. It is a Mersenne prime known as M30402457 _ that's 2 to the 30,402,457th power minus 1.

Mersenne primes are a special category expressed as 2 to the "p" power minus 1, in which "p" also is a prime number.

"We're super excited," said Boone, a chemistry professor. "We've been looking for such a number for a long time."
The discovery is affiliated with the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search, a global contest using volunteers who run software that searches for the largest Mersenne prime.

I've never really liked math, but I was always wondering about the highest prime number. I wonder what the highest one is before the numbers just end. Seriously, if anyone discovers an end to the number line, please email it to us. We would be most grateful.

Half Of All Adults Believe Congress Is Corrupt

According to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll, 49 percent of respondents said most members of Congress are corrupt. Although 46 percent of respondents said most aren't, the margin of sampling error -- plus or minus 4.5 percent -- makes it clear that the perception of congressional politicians is largely negative.

Asked how many congressional Republicans are corrupt, 19 percent of respondents said "almost all" and 28 percent said "many." The response was similar when people were asked about corruption among Democrats: 17 percent said "almost all" and 27 percent said "many."

And this just goes to show you: while people may be stupid, they are just smart enough to realize when they are being played.
